  • INTERNATIONAL PER CAPITA INCREASE and BENEFIT SUMMARY
    Updated On: Jun 07, 2024

At the 40th IBEW International Convention, which was conducted in Chicago, IL during the week of May 9 through 13, 2022, the delegates approved amendments to Article IX of the IBEW Constitution. Accordingly, effective July 1, 2024, there will be a per capita increase for all Members in the amount of one dollar ($1.00) per month. The following rates will apply to the I.O. portion of all monthly dues payments.

Article X, Section 7(a) of IBEW Local 108's current bylaws state that the monthly dues shall be two hours pay per month plus applicable International per capita and all assessments.

It is important that the members of IBEW 108 understand that the portion of the dues that go to our Local has not increased. In fact we have taken many steps to keep dues the same and have not raised dues on a Local level since 2004.

We would also like to take this time and remind you of some of the elective benefits you can be part of by being an IBEW 108 member.

    FAST AIDE SICK FUND

There are currently two separate Fast Aide funds. One fund is made up of Tampa Electric employees and the other fund is made up of Clarios employees. These funds are geared to help members who are out of work due to accident, injury, or illness. These funds are for members that are out of work for ten working days or more and they have exhausted all sick time and are receiving reduced pay or no pay at all.

The cost to be a member of the TECO Fast Aide Fund is $10.00 per month. The cost to be a member of the Clarios Sick Fund is $6.00 per month.

    ACCIDENTAL LIFE INSURANCE
