  • TECO Big Bend Relief Fund

    IBEW Local 108 expresses our sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in the tragic accident at TECO's Big Bend Power Station on June 29, 2017 and to those that are still fighting for their lives.  

    IBEW 108 Member and TECO Employee Mike McCort, age 60, of Riverview died as a result of his injuries.

    Christopher Irvin age 40, of Tampa worked for Gaffin Industrial Services, died as a result from his injuries.

    Antonio Navarrete age 21 of Wimauma worked Brace Industrial Group and died as a result from his injuries.

    Frank Lee Jones age 55, of Tampa worked for Gaffin Industrial Services, died as a result from his injuries.

    Gary Marine Jr. age 32, of Tampa works for Gaffin Industrial Services remains in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

    Armando J Perez age 56, of Wimauma works for Brace Industrial Group remains in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

    We have received several phone calls and emails regarding where to make donations on behalf of the workers and their families that were affected.
